What You’ll Do:
Position Overview:
The Electronic Payments Leader is responsible for the direction of operational execution of electronic funds transfer related activities in accordance with regulatory guidance (e.g. OFAC, BSA, AML, NACHA, Dodd-Frank), policies, procedures and service level agreements. Electronic funds transfer largely represents domestic and international wire transfers.. The incumbent will lead and participate in transformational projects such as the implementation of new products, services and systems as well as implementing lean management principles to drive operational excellence.
Lead a team of 25 - 30 professionals
Operate with pace and a sense of urgency for day-to-day activities and escalations
Plan and direct workflow to improve efficiency, quality and timeliness of work, and ensure deadlines/processing cut offs met
Establish and maintain Business Continuity Plan for applicable services
Develop, mentor and coach team members to achieve performance goals through individual check-ins, team meetings, periodic skills coaching, and mid-year and annual reviews.
Support a culture of continuous learning, improvement and process excellence
Fully implement process management principles (to be coordinated with Project Management/Business Process Improvement (BPI) as needed) through focus on performance standards, metrics and workflow analysis.
Develop, implement, maintain and update department systems and procedures to support changes and continually improve operational efficiency.
Develop annual employee engagement action plans with quarterly tracking of results.
Build and maintain strong partnerships across Wintrust
Role model Wintrust’s core values and ensure that all direct reports do as well.
In conjunction with Treasury Management and Product Management, develop roadmap to ensure products and services provided meet and exceed customer expectations, remain competitive in the market and manage and minimize fraud
Lead projects and initiatives and/or partner across the organization to analyze and implement new systems, functionality, et al
Qualifications:
10 plus years’ experience as a leader in Bank Operations preferably in Electronic Payment Operations.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge and accumulated experience with payments best practices, payment system delivery channels and payment technologies.
Must be able to organize, perform complex analysis, conceptualize new ideas, interpret applicable laws and regulations and other technical matters, solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
Excellent organizational, conceptual, listening, training and coaching skills, and verbal/written communication skills.
Detailed oriented and deadline driven, with the ability to prioritize, focus, and thrive in a high paced multi-tasking environment.
Recognizes and identifies problems or issues and develops solutions and recommendations to solve the situation.
Finastra Global Pay Plus or other comparable wire platforms

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $117,000-$170,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
